The AK2 is the second fixed blade knife designed and built by Alexander Kremer or Kremer-Werkzeuge as a production knife. Alex designed the AK2 as an all-steel fixed blade with a skeletonized handle.

We tried to improve the AK2's handling with our scales, while still allowing some of the skeletonized handle to be visible. The result was our custom AK2 handles, which come standard with a raindrop pattern, which not only looks good but also improves grip.

The handles center themselves on the pattern in the knife steel. Our handle scales are attached with four M3 countersunk screws (silver or black, depending on your choice) using two M3 bushings. We've milled a hidden lanyard slot into the back of the handle. This always provides the option of using paracord without affecting the appearance of the handle.

The handles are approximately 3.5 mm thick on each side of the knife. This makes the handle approximately three times thicker and offers optimal handling. We've added an additional finger groove to the front of the handle, which is both a visual eye-catcher and perfect for delicate work.

We hope you enjoy our custom handle scales for the AK2 and the resulting optimized ergonomics.

We've left open the option for an inlay in the front of the scales thanks to the skeletonized pocket you can see.

! Please note: Due to the custom handle scales, the OEM Kydex knife sheath no longer fits. We're happy to have Alex handcraft a Kydex sheath to fit the AK2, including the scales. However, the knife also fits perfectly in a leather sheath with the scales.
